Birthday parties and such are wonderful events to bring a photographer in for some stunning photos. Using a mix of styles from reportage photography to lovely portraits, I like to create a story from my photos to give a lovely overview of a person's special day.

Birthdays aren't the only event that my photography is in demand. There are things like retirement party events and Christmas party events as well. All of these special occasions need a bit of photography to keep the memories fresh.

Beyond that you could even imagine seeing me strolling around a small local festival taking photographs of people having fun with their families and friends.

Female Wedding Photographer :: A Natural Advantage

I believe that one of my greatest advantages as a wedding photographer was given to me by my parents. That I am a female affords me a different angle with which to approach my work. I think it is a common supposition that, by and large, a wedding day is put together according to the wishes of the Bride. I am not for a minute suggesting that this is always the case, or that even if this is true the Groom isn't involved in the decision making, but I'm sure you understand the point I am making. Having been a Bride myself I know what it's like to be on the other side; to have the focus on you, all eyes and cameras affixed on your every move. It's a nerve-wracking, exciting, bewildering, wonderful experience and as with any adrenaline-filled activity the time rushes past in the blink of an eye. You're going to need me as your photographer to record the smiles, the laughter and a real time record of events as they unfold. You'll be surprised what you've forgotten when looking back through your picture portfolio when it's complete.

As a female wedding photographer I can empathise with the emotions you'll be going through and which aspects of the day will worry you the most; the past 4/5 years experience I've had as a wedding photographer mean that I have seen everything that can go wrong and what the potential surprises are. I am there as your photographer, but I will also be something of an assistant to you for the day and will do everything I can to ensure your special day goes to plan. This is something I believe gives me the edge.

As well as working in London I also offer my wedding photography services throughout Cambridge. There are many buzz words in the world of photography, and whilst terms such as "reportage", "journalistic" and even "contemporary" do serve a purpose when it comes to describing the style of portfolio we create as photographers, I am less interested in sticking rigidly to definitions and styles as I am to just creating a finished set of images which capture the beauty, essence and individuality of each wedding day.

Cambridge is a notoriously beautiful city which makes my job that little bit easier when creating interesting and appropriately pretty backdrops for my wedding photography. Having said that though a wedding is inherently beautiful no matter where it is set. It's my role to portray this in my shots. I take this very seriously and will go to any lengths to achieve this end. You may have already read a little about me so you'll know that I like to take an involved role in the proceedings, well as involved as you want me to anyway.

Pamper Parties

At first glance, you might be caught believing that a pamper party is like a baby shower but with nappies. I made that mistake myself. I was quite embarrassed and got a good ribbing about it for a good hour afterwards from my friends. I had images of a ring of mothers with their babies wearing pampers nappies.

But what really happens at a Pamper Party? A pamper party is a party where you will be getting pampered by a team of specialist beauticians. Once the 'guests' have picked their beauty treatments, the beauticians will get on with it. They're a great idea for a hen party (although not exclusively for pre-wedding celebrations as it's a great idea for young womens' birthday party gifts) where a bunch of girls can just sit back, chill out and have a great time. Pamper parties can be as big or small as you like. It's entirely up to you who you want present as it's all about having a great time with friends.

I actually arrange for pampershoots which involves a series of professional photographs taken and a professional makeup artist is on hand to give the guests a makeover. Great fun and a great bonding activity!

Being based in London myself I frequently enjoy many weddings in this great city. Wedding photographs are integral to the occasion and my services are never left wanting. That being said I do branch out and cover other areas for wedding photography (going as far as ) as well as other events like nursery, pregnancy, pamper parties and so on.

I really enjoy weddings especially when I get to use my skills to make a wedding day as special as possible. There are loads of options available and I try to cater to each situation so that everyone is satisfied with their photographs.

As a photographer these last few years and as a married woman I like to think of myself as an expert eye in what a bride truly wants to get out of a London based wedding photography.

What sorts of things would you do for a birthday party. For childrens’ parties you want fun and games. Games such as pin the tail on the pig, hide and seek, blindman’s buff. Fun activities that will get the kids outside and having fun while you prepare the sandwiches, crisps, and drinks.

For a more teenage party you’ll probably want an indoor setting with a table for soft drinks and a DJ playing music over the sound system. Chances are you’ll need to arrange for assistance in observing that everything goes smoothly and that the young adults are behaving.

For adults you need to decide whether you’re planning a night in or a night out. Is it one of the big numbers? 21, 30, 40, 50? 60?! If so then it needs to be extra special. Some ideas could be considered a little extreme so you may need to consider some tame
